Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of June 6

Chloe Dyson, 36, of Middle Island was arrested and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on June 1 at 12:32 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Quogue. Dyson was observed by Quogue Village Police speeding, going 62 mph in a 40-mph zone. A subsequent investigation revealed that she was driving while intoxicated and also revealed she had an expired registration, for which she was charged a violation, police said. She was processed and held for morning arraignment.

Michelle Seltzer, 53, of Westhampton Beach was arrested and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, by Westhampton Beach Police on May 30 at 10:22 p.m. She was pulled over at the intersection of Potunk Lane and Hansen Place after police said they saw her speeding and failing to stop at a stop sign. She performed poorly on a field sobriety test and refused a breath test on the scene, police said. Seltzer spent the night at Southampton Town Police headquarters and was released the next morning.

Luciana Aparecida-Barros, 34, of Southampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police on May 27 at 11:49 p.m. on Majors Path in Southampton and charged with misdemeanor aggravated DWI. According to police, Aparecida-Barros crossed into the southbound lane several times while driving north and was driving without the vehicle’s headlights on. Police said she had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and had a positive result for alcohol on a prescreen breath test. She was taken to police headquarters for processing.

Juan C. Uyagua-Ripachar, 26, of Southampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police on May 27 at 9:17 p.m. and charged with misdemeanor DWI. According to police, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Squiretown Road in Hampton Bays and admitted to driving and being the sole occupant of the vehicle. Police said he had red glassy eyes, slurred speech and an odor of alcohol on his breath, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and admitted to drinking two beers that evening. Police said that a prescreen breath test gave a positive reading for alcohol. He was taken to police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment.

Wesley Henrique Dorneles, 43, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on May 25 at 11:59 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Southampton and charged with misdemeanor DWI. Police said that Dorneles was stopped after he was seen crossing the white fog line several times. According to police, his eyes were bloodshot, he was unsteady on his feet, had an odor of alcohol on his breath, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and had a positive result for alcohol on a prescreen breath test. He was taken to police headquarters for processing.

Fabiana Collares-Botelho, 33, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on May 26 at 12:30 a.m. on West Hillover Road and charged with misdemeanor DWI. According to police, Collares-Botelho was stopped after committing several traffic violations, had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
