East Quogue students and faculty wore orange on October 18 to show unity for kindness, acceptance and inclusion, while also sending a visible and strong message that no child should ever experience bullying. The school also held its first whole-school meeting in the amphitheater that was hosted and directed by fourth, fifth and sixth grade students who encouraged peers to do one good thing for others during the school day. Students were recognized for their participation in the Reading Challenge, discussed Hispanic Heritage Month, and engaged in a series of activities to reinforce positive behavior and expectations that ensure they maintain safety and lead by example in the Hive.
