Members of the Southampton High School Mariners Patriot Club recently participated in an annual Veterans Day flag placement at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Westhampton Beach High School’s literary arts magazine, Seascapes, recently earned several awards at the Empire State School Press Association awards ceremony at the Syracuse University Lubin House in New York City. The publication was awarded Best Overall Literary Magazine, Silver for Best Overall Cover Design, and Silver for Best Written Work in a Literary Magazine, written by Kate Pomroy. Accepting the awards

Members of the U.S. Coast Guard recently visited Hampton Bays Middle School to engage fifth grade students and educate them about their role in the community. During the visit, the service members showcased their response boat and explained various responsibilities, including search and rescue operations, maritime safety and
environmental protection. The interactive presentation aimed to inspire students and raise awareness about the importance of the Coast Guard's mission. Raynor Country Day School To Hold Veterans Day Assembly

The Raynor Country Day School will hold a Veterans Day assembly on Thursday, November 7, starting at 10 a.m., to honor the commitment, dedication and patriotism of local veterans, as well as those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Services. All are welcome. A musical military tribute and student presentations will be followed by a complementary bagged lunch “to go” for all veterans and those currently serving.
