A 30 foot sailboat crashed into the east jetty of the Shinnecock Inlet on Tuesday night. The lone sailor aboard was uninjured and helped off the boat by nearby fishermen. The boat remained lodged on the rocks overnight with salvage crews expected to extract it on Wednesday morning. MICHAEL WRIGHT
