Old Stove Pub Celebrates 55 Years

The iconic dining staple Old Stove Pub is celebrating its 55th anniversary this summer. The menu boasts a medley of dishes including, but not limited to, entrees like prime steaks, rack of lamb and roasted chicken; fresh seafood plates such as branzino, salmon, scallops and jumbo shrimp; a raw bar featuring fresh oysters and jumbo shrimp; and sides like creamed spinach and roasted cauliflower.

Owner Joseph DeCristofaro has managed the Old Stove Pub since 2020. The eatery is legendary among culinary aficionados and has attracted a regular clientele of celebrities, CEOs, families and first dates.

With dinner service starting from 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, guests can enjoy the steakhouse that carries a Mediterranean flair plus a full bar and specialty cocktail menu. This summer, the restaurant will be open nightly for dinner. Old Stove Pub offers more than 20 wines by the glass, daily happy hour specials beginning at 4 p.m. with a special bar menu and an extensive house martini and cocktail list.

The Sweet Spot Opens for Breakfast

Popular FroYo and candy shop The Sweet Spot in East Hampton has announced the addition of breakfast. The Sweet Spot opens at 7 a.m. seven days a week offering new coffee beverages and breakfast pastry items. The new menu includes coffee drinks such as espresso, macchiato, cappuccino and lattes, both iced or hot, as well as chai, black, green and strawberry teas, also iced or hot. Create your own smoothies are available; choose from ingredients such as strawberry, banana, blueberry, spinach, peanut butter and more. Pastry selections include a variety of donuts, apple fritters and crumb cake. House baked bacon and egg croissants and ham and cheese croissants will also be available.

The Sweet Spot continues to serve 10 flavors of self-serve FroYo with toppings, homemade milkshakes, nitro cold brew coffee concoctions, fresh baked cookies and a wide selection of candy. The Sweet Spot uses environmentally safe products such as recycled paper cups, agave straws and recycled plastic products. The Sweet Spot is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Chef Mark Militello Heads to Greenport

Mark Militello, the executive chef at 75 Main, has been named the new head chef at Zach Erdem’s contemporary Mediterranean dining destination, ZErdem, which is located at 14 Main Street in Greenport and reopens on Saturday, June 15. For over 14 years, Chef Mark and Erdem have worked together to provide extraordinary culinary programs in Southampton and beyond, so they’re excited to bring his culinary talents and inventive fare to Greenport for the 2024 season as ZErdem’s new executive chef.

Guests can look forward to a vibrant menu of seared Peconic Bay scallops with a summer corn salsa and Jerusalem artichokes, short rib beef Wellington over roasted sweet potato puree, sacchettoni alla vodka with peas and a ricotta and Parmesan puree, Acapulco chicken rice soup with red chilies, avocado, cilantro and lime, and much more.

Also in Greenport, Erdem has opened a new bakery by the name of Bourdon Artisan Bakery in the ZEY Hotel at 439 Main Street. The bakery, which is open to guests and locals alike, boasts a daily menu of handcrafted pastries, cakes, cookies, and other treats by renowned Turkish Pastry Chef, Gursel Aydin.

Art of Eating Food Truck

Art of Eating will host a “Brunch on Butter Pop Up” every Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring its food truck, which will be parked at 264 Butter Lane in Bridgehampton and will feature menu items including a breakfast burrito, avocado toast with fried egg, classic chilaquiles, a Mayan bowl (lettuce, sweet potato, refried beans, red onion, avocado and lime, sweet and hot rice vinaigrette), quesadilla, summer rolls, Caesar salad and more, plus iced coffee and Mexican hot chocolate. Father’s Day at Navy Beach

Navy Beach will celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16, offering all dads a complimentary Modelo or bloody Mary with their meal. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner on Father’s Day beginning at noon.

Established in 2010, Navy Beach is positioned on 200-feet of private beach overlooking Fort Pond Bay. The laid-back, family-friendly eatery offers casual coastal cuisine paired with an eclectic wine list, including one of the largest selections of rosé wines in the Hamptons. The restaurant’s philanthropic efforts center around its support of the Navy SEAL Foundation, for which Navy Beach has raised over $185,000 since 2013.
