Romany Kramoris Gallery presents a group art show featuring the works of Hina Cao, Quincy Egginton, Ghilia Lipman-Wulf and Lauren Matzen. The exhibition runs from Thursday, June 13, through Wednesday, July 3. A reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, June 15, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Hina Cao believes in the transformative power of art and that true art comes from within, reflecting the artist’s unique perspective and emotions. Cao’s art uses a variety of materials and techniques, ranging from cotton paper, homemade paper, rice paper, and bamboo paper to oil pastels, markers, ink and more. This variety allows her to offer a truly unique and captivating art experience, pushing boundaries and redefining what is possible within the art world.

Quincy Egginton is an artist, art educator and community member. She is passionate about teaching art to students of all ages and has enjoyed teaching at all levels. Life at the beach has always been the inspiration for her art. Growing up in Lexington. Massachusetts, she was able to visit beaches north and south of Boston. She and her husband, Hersey, purchased a home in Wainscott 45 years ago and finally moved here full time in May 2021.

Ghilia Lipman-Wulf is an artist and writer living in Sag Harbor. Considered a neo-Expressionist, Lipman-Wulf’s work is mostly semi-abstract, but she is widely known for botanicals as well. From the canvas to furniture, ceramics, clothing and murals, Lipman-Wulf’s work has been widely commissioned and exhibited since the early 1980s. Recurrent themes in her work stem from a love of nature and the human form. She is currently working on a series of memory pieces which incorporate both painting and prose. Together, these vignettes are meant to capture pieces of the past — including autobiographical subjects, but also the shared stories and histories of the artist’s family.

Lauren Matzen has lived on the East End since 1986 and is a multimedia artist. She has studied with Paton Miller and has shown in local galleries, including Southampton Arts Center, Romany Kramoris Gallery and Ashawagh Hall, as well as at the Peter Mendenhall Gallery in Pasadena, California.
