The Next Step

My name is Josh Belury and I am actively working to serve as your next village trustee. Over the past few years, I have been active in the village and serve as an EMT in Southampton EMS and as first assistant chief of Southampton Village Ocean Rescue. As someone who regularly works with first responders, I am humbled by the work they do. They are truly lifesavers and we are lucky to live in a village where we have an average life saving response time of around three minutes.

That said, and after careful consideration, I have decided the next step for me to continue my service to our village is to use my knowledge, care and compassion to work for legislation that will serve all community members.

It is clear that the time has come for a new direction. I respect and want to work with everyone, but we are in desperate need for outside-the-box thinking and creative solutions. If we continue the status quo, we are doing a disservice to the next generation. If I have not been able to meet you or be able to say hello, please know I am doing my best to go door to door and meet everyone I can. I am not operating as an experienced politician, but I am a concerned resident who has the ability to bridge gaps, open dialogue and promote transparency from our government. I believe that should be the basis for voting for someone who will work to serve the public.

A vote for me is a vote for our community, preservation and way of life in Southampton. If there is anything I can do or if you have any questions, please reach out to me directly via email at commonsensesh@outlook.com.
