Bonac Boys Soccer Continues To Roll
The East Hampton boys soccer team defeated host Hauppauge, 3-1, on September 26 then defeated Eastport-South Manor, 1-0, two days later at home for its fourth consecutive victory and to improve to 5-1-1 in League VI, 7-1-1 overall. Juan Salcedo scored two goals in the win at Hauppauge. Filiph Garcia Ayala scored a goal and Adrian Arango made five saves. Chris Guallpa scored the only goal against ESM and Arango made five saves once again.
East Hampton Boys Volleyball Halts Losing Streak
The Bonackers defeated East Islip, 3-1, at home on Friday to end what was a five-match losing streak. After losing the first set, 25-22, East Hampton took the next three sets 25-23, 32-30, 25-22.
East Hampton Field Hockey Suffers First Losses
After winning their first seven games of the season, the Bonackers suffered their first loss, 4-2, at Bayport-Blue Point on September 27, then lost, 4-1, at Eastport-South Manor on Monday.
Bonac Girls Volleyball Back To Winning Ways
East Hampton defeated Comsewogue, 3-1, at home on September 28, which ended a four-match losing streak, then it won, 3-2, at Rocky Point on Monday. Katie Kuneth had eight kills, 16 digs and four aces in Bonac’s latest win. Olivia Yellen had 16 assists and Kim Hilario had 14 digs.
Girls Swimming Wins First League Meet
The East Hampton/Pierson/Bridgehampton girls swim team defeated West Babylon, 79-68, on September 27 for its first League III victory of the season. Bonac won nine of the 11 events.
Whalers Boys Soccer Ties Mattituck
The Pierson/Bridgehampton boys soccer team tied Mattituck, 3-3, in Sag Harbor on Monday. The Whalers are 3-5-1 in League IX.
Sandstrom Leads Baymen Golf
Erik Sandstrom shot a 37 at The Woods at Cherry Creek to lead Hampton Bays to a 9-0 victory over Greenport/Southold. The victory ended a three-match losing streak. The Baymen evened their record to 4-4.
Baymen Girls Volleyball Back on Track
After suffering its first loss of the season to Bayport-Blue Point on September 22, the Hampton Bays girls volleyball team has responded well by winning its last four matches. Included in that four was a 3-1 victory at home over Elwood-John Glenn on September 28. Asha Pensa-Johnson had 22 kills and seven blocks to lead Hampton Bays (8-1 in League VI) in the 21-25, 25-20, 25-11, 25-23 win. Nellie Nicolova added eight kills and 16 digs, Tania Quiros had seven kills and 32 digs and Mia Schoerlin added 22 digs.

The Westhampton Beach boys volleyball team (8-1) defeated reigning Long Island Champion Hauppauge, 3-1, on September 27, then defeated Comsewogue, 3-0, at home on Friday.
First Victory for Westhampton Beach Girls Soccer
The Hurricanes defeated Huntington, 2-1, at home on September 28 for their fist victory of the season. Sarah Gormley scored both goals for Westhampton Beach, one off an assist from Katie Baker. Ava Failla made eight saves in goal.
Hurricane Girls Tennis Falls to William Floyd
The Westhampton Beach girls tennis team suffered their first loss of the season, 4-3, at William Floyd on Friday. The ’Canes are 6-1 in League IV, 12-1 overall.
