For Bonac Boys Soccer
The East Hampton boys soccer team led 3-0 by halftime at Westhampton Beach on September 21 and wound up winning, 4-0. Chris Guallpa, Gary Gutama, Juan Salcedo and Brian Tacuri each found the back of the net for the Bonackers who are now 4-1-1 in League VI, 6-1-1 overall.

Picks Up First Victory
Shelby Casey and Izzy Farcas each scored in the first half of their Saturday morning homecoming game to lead the Whalers to their first victory of the season, a 2-0 decision over Greenport/Southold. Grace D’Angelo made one save in goal for Pierson (1-7 in Division II).

Evens Record
A pair of victories last week, a 4-0 win at Hampton Bays on September 19 and a 5-1 win at home over East Hampton on September 21, have pulled the Mariners to within .500 play (4-4 in Division III, 4-5-1 overall) in Division III. Jaylin Maloney assisted on all four of Southampton’s goals in the win at Hampton Bays. Harper Souhrada scored two goals and Jordyn Heaney was credited with 17 saves for Hampton Bays. Vivienne Archer scored two goals and had one assist in the win over East Hampton.
Mariner Football
Falls To Greenport
The Southampton football team lost, 42-8, at home to Greenport on Friday night to fall to 0-3 in Division IV. Nehemiah Mack scored the lone touchdown for the Mariners, a 29-yard run in the third quarter. Meanwhile Michael DeNicola did just about everything for the Porters, rushing for three scores, throwing for another and returning an interception 67 yards for another touchdown. He totaled 221 yards combined between rushing and passing yards.

Tops Shelter Island
The Mariners defeated host Shelter Island, 3-2, on September 18, and paired with a 3-0 win at Ross in the season opener back on September 11. They are 2-4 in League VII this season, surpassing last year’s win total.

Defeats Hampton Bays
For the second time this season, Southampton defeated Hampton Bays, 6-1. The first time the two neighboring schools met, Southampton won, 7-0.
Hurricanes Boys Volleyball
Bounces Back
After suffering their first lost of the season, 3-2, at Bay Shore on September 19, the Westhampton Beach boys volleyball team (5-1) rebounded with a 3-1 victory at home over Connetquot on September 21.

Tops Ross
The Hurricanes (3-0 in League IV, 9-0 overall) defeated the Ross School, 6-1, at home on September 21 after having defeated host Center Moriches, 7-0, on September 19.
