Some golfers go a lifetime without ever sinking a hole-in-one.

Liam Blackmore has now done it twice — and he’s only 16 years old.

Playing in an interclub tournament at Westhampton Golf Club on June 29, the Southampton teenager sunk his second hole-in-one on the number three hole using an eight-iron on the 165-yard, par 3 hole.

Blackmore, a rising junior who will be either the number one or two golfer on Southampton’s varsity boys golf team this fall, first achieved the feat on July 5, 2019, when he was 13 years old on the second hole at Southampton Golf Club, his home club.

“It was cool to do it in Westhampton because the green is lower than the tee box on that particular hole, so I didn’t actually see it go in,” he explained. “I was looking around the green and finally I checked the cup. I was like, holy cow.”

Blackmore said one of the pros from Southampton, Jason Russell, was on hand to witness it. When they both looked in the cup and saw the ball they both said, “no way.”
